Green Sea Glass Necklace with Brass Turtle (Gold Alternative)

Bottle green sea glass goes so well with the golden tone of brass. With a lot of love, I crafted this piece of sea glass from Helgoland into a brass pendant in the shape of a turtle. What more could one want...?

The chain is included in the price and is made of gold-plated stainless steel. It can be worn at different lengths (from 42 to 46.5 cm).

About the material:

Brass is a great alternative to gold, as it is more affordable and has a wonderful character. It is normal for brass to tarnish over time due to moisture (from the air or skin), but with proper care, it is still very durable and has two positive qualities:

1. You can determine or "control" the golden tone of brass you want to wear, as the tone will become darker and warmer over time, but if you polish it again, it will become lighter and shinier.

2. You can always polish brass! A brass polishing cloth is included in the delivery, which you can use to regularly care for your jewelry. If discoloration is more stubborn, you can also use vinegar + baking soda or toothpaste for polishing. To make care even easier, remove your brass jewelry before showering or swimming and store it in an airtight container when you are not wearing it for a while.

To care for the sea glass and bring out its natural color more, you can occasionally apply a small drop of oil (any kind) to the glass, let it sit briefly, and then dab off any excess. This process is optional.
