I found this green sea glass on Helgoland and lovingly crafted it into a silver ring, which was then professionally gold-plated with real gold. Green and gold is a beautiful combination.
The ring is size 54 (US: 6.5). The ring band is 1.5 mm wide, and the ring was made from 950 and 999 silver, then plated with a 5 µm gold layer. As this is a handmade piece of jewelry, the ring has no hallmark, and imperfections cannot be ruled out. Care instructions for the jewelry can be found here: „Care Instructions“. For gold-plated jewelry, however, you should be careful not to polish the surface rarely or not at all, as the gold layer can wear off over the years. With good care, however, it will last a long time, and the underlying material is still very high-quality silver. If it wears out over the years, the gold layer can easily be refreshed by a gold plater.
