This light blue piece of sea glass is a very special color. I found it in Gran Canaria and lovingly crafted it into a silver ring, which was then professionally gold-plated with real gold. The gold tone really makes the light blue stand out.
The ring is size 55 (US: 7). The ring band is 2.5 mm wide, and the ring was made from 950 and 999 silver and then gold-plated with a 5 µm gold layer. As this is a handmade piece of jewelry, the ring bears no hallmark, and imperfections cannot be ruled out. You can find care instructions for jewelry here: "Care Instructions". With gold-plated jewelry, however, one should be careful not to polish the surface rarely or not at all, as the gold layer can wear off over the years. With good care, however, it lasts a long time, and the material underneath is still very high-quality silver. In case of wear over the years, the gold layer can easily be refreshed again by a professional gold plater.
